This project at the Polytechnic Institute and Western High School involved the replacement of the entire roof, including removal of the existing roofing system down to the existing roof deck. The new roofing was a TPO membrane, and its installation consisted of a vapor barrier, a base sheet for concrete decking, and a flat base insulation. Tapered insulation was utilized to meet a ¼” slope requirement. The project included re-roofing both schools, including several shared buildings. The re-roofing included 186,657 SF of roof area at Baltimore Polytechnic Institute and 113,673 SF of roof area at Western High School.
