Project Information

Located in Baltimore County adjacent to the sprawling University of Maryland Baltimore County ( UMBC) campus, this 154-acre project was master planned by KPN Architects to encompass +1.5 m sf of mixed-use retail / commercial, residential and academic development space. Also included in this master plan are over 700,000 sf of research incubator space dedicated for technology startup companies under a program developed + managed by UMBC’s Research Park Corporation.

Numerous site features + amenities highlighted in this unique master plan included a 300-key short-stay conference hotel, specialty retail shops, +400,000 sf of commercial space and +350 market-rate, multifamily apartment units. Other amenities such as a large Green Space, water feature accents, biking + jogging trails, an athletic field and +7,700 parking spaces all work together to create the most ideal place where people can truly work, live and play.

In collaboration with other design professionals and the University of Maryland Baltimore County, the KPN Architects’ Design Team created and developed the Concept Master Plan and architectural study for this 154 acre campus.
