Designed by KPN Architects, LLC, St. Peter’s University Tower is an urban, mixed-use high-rise building located at the heart of McGinley Square in Jersey City, New Jersey.  Estimated to cost in excess of $220M, this 22-story building will house various Retail Shops on the Street Level, a 2200-seat, 12-plex Cinema on the Second Floor, a rooftop Swimming Pool and upscale Specialty Restaurants supported by a 700-car, below ground Robotic Parking Garage. The tower will also feature a 300-Bed Student Housing component to accommodate the University’s rising student enrollment as well as over 420 high-end, market-rate Residential Apartment Suites.

Situated at the center of McGinley Square, a once bustling center of business and trade for Jersey City, the project hopes to become the catalyst for redevelopment in the area,  and once again re-establish McGinley Square as the hub of social and business activity in the City. Born out of a vision by a partnership venture headed by SORA Development of Maryland and St. Peter’s University, the designers at KPN Architects developed the design of this state-of-the-art building with an eye towards creating a lasting impact on the city skyline and acknowledging the University’s many years of presence in the City as a major member of the community.  Intended to glow amidst the evening sky, the “Sails” that crown the building offers a symbolic metaphor consistent with the University’s mission of educating young men and women to be future leaders.
