Robert L. Bogomolny Library
The Robert L. Bogomolny Library at the University of Baltimore is situated on the prominent corner of Maryland Avenue and Oliver Street in the heart of Downtown Baltimore, Maryland. Originally built in 1965, the four-story library required renovation to accommodate the growing student population of the University
The program included the addition of study seating, classrooms, staff offices, workrooms, and lounges to the existing space, and updates to the interior of the facility to provide better access to the available resources while promoting a more modern collaborative environment. The facility was brought up to current code, including ADA compliance. The exterior façade was renovated to reflect a sense of transparency and responsiveness, incorporating a more modern design. The new Robert L. Bogomolny Library is more interactive with students and faculty and features technologically-rich study rooms fully equipped with display systems for presentation practice.
