Rash Field Redevelopment
The redevelopment of Rash Field, located adjacent to Baltimore’s Inner Harbor, is expected to draw more visitors to the area and generate revenue for the city. The rejuvenated park will enhance recreation options for users, create a gateway to the waterfront promenade from the surrounding neighborhood, and contribute to the broader vision for the Inner Harbor.
KPN is the Architect of Record working in collaboration with prime and lead designer, Mahan Rykiel Associates for the overall park vision. KPN’s responsibility includes the architectural work associated with the park improvements, incorporating a retail pavilion and public facilities inserted into the landscape with a green roof wrapping over the top of the structure.
As Architects of Record, KPN Architects created all the necessary design and construction documentation including liaison with various agencies with jurisdiction over the project. Responsible for all architectural documentation, IgCC, and other code compliance, coordination with consultants, and complete CA services.
